10 Questions I Ask Myself When I'm In A Funk


We've all been there...


When you just feel out of it and it seems like no matter what you do, you just can't shake it. It can be really hard to get back into a positive mindset once the negativity feedback loop starts.


One of the most powerful things you can do is identify what's causing your funk and what are the simple actions you can take now to start turning it around. (This is easier to comprehend in theory than to actually follow through in reality but once you get the hang of it, you'll be unstoppable!)


Here are the 10 questions that I ask myself when I'm in a funk:

  1. Am I drinking enough water?

  2. Am I eating food?

  3. Am I getting enough sleep?

  4. Am I taking my vitamins/getting my body all of the nutrients it needs?

  5. Am I working out/moving?

  6. Am I practicing my healthy habits?

  7. Am I focusing on the positive or the negative perspective of the situations I face?

  8. Am I working as hard as I can be?

  9. Am I giving my goals enough priority?

  10. Am I forgetting how amazing I am because God made me in his image?


It's not like after the first time you ask these questions you'll magically snap out of it, but with enough repetition and honest answers, I think you'll find some peace in your ability to overcome that negative mindset. I hope this helps and wish you all the best!
